If you have never used a balance board before, begin practicing by holding on to something such as the back of a stool or have a spotter.

Practice on a rug or carpet. A tile floor will be too slippery.

Make sure you have plenty of room and the area is clear of anything you could potentially fall on.

Never push another person, playful or otherwise, while they are balancing on the board. A fall and serious injury may result.

Do not use under the influence of alcohol. Serious injury may result.
